🎙️ EPISODE 030: Power Doesn’t Shout - It Sits in Stillness
Over-talking as a Trauma Pattern
Let’s be honest - your mouth has been your armor. You learned early that if you could explain yourself fast enough, prove your worth clearly enough, sell your vision persuasively enough, maybe, just maybe, you’d be safe.
So you mastered the performance. You overtalk, overjustify, overdeliver - all to control perception. It’s not leadership; it’s survival.
Every caption you reword ten times trying to sound right. Every conversation where you shrink the truth just to keep the peace, that’s not power. That’s conditioning.
You learned to equate being heard with being worthy. But the woman you’re becoming doesn’t need to be understood to stand in truth. Over-talking isn’t communication. It’s the nervous system’s way of saying, “Please don’t abandon me.”
Stillness, on the other hand, unnerves people who perform for belonging. Silence is exposure. It reveals what’s real. When you use fewer words, your frequency starts doing the talking. That’s your next level: moving from performer to presence.
Why You Don’t Feel Safe Being Still
Let’s talk about the part of you that can’t sit still. The one that equates silence with danger and stillness with failure. You call it “drive,” but deep down, you know it’s survival.
You’ve built your identity on output. You move fast, talk fast, think fast, because somewhere in your nervous system, movement equals safety. And I’m not talking about the person who is a fast processor. I’m talking about the fear mechanism that mistakenly tells you that if you’re moving, you’re in control. If you’re performing, no one can reject you. If you’re achieving, no one can abandon you.
But that constant motion? It’s not power. It’s your body saying, “I don’t feel safe unless I’m earning my right to exist.”
And I want you to hear me on this: your inability to be still isn’t a flaw in your discipline. It’s an old, outdated program that was installed when you were too young to know better.
Maybe you grew up in chaos, so you learned that anticipation was protection. Maybe you were praised for productivity, so rest started to feel like guilt. Maybe you learned that love had to be earned through achievement, so now you can’t stop achieving, even when you’re exhausted.
You’ve been running from the quiet because you’re terrified of what you’ll find there. Because when the noise stops, the truth gets loud. And it’s confronting to realize how much of your power has been outsourced to performance.
Stillness is threatening to your old identity because it removes your favorite mask: control. And when that mask slips, what’s left is raw, unfiltered truth.
The truth that you’ve been the source all along. That the clients, the validation, the opportunities - they were never what made you powerful. They were reflections of how you temporarily forgot you already were.
When you finally let yourself be still - when you stop explaining, stop performing, stop defending your worth - you’ll feel something unfamiliar. It’s not laziness. It’s not complacency. It’s peace.
And peace will feel foreign at first. Because your body has been wired to equate calm with collapse. But if you stay with it - if you breathe through the discomfort long enough - peace will start to feel like home.
Stillness isn’t the absence of movement. It’s the presence of self. And when you can hold that stillness without fidgeting, apologizing, or shrinking, that’s when your real magnetism ignites. Because the woman who can hold her silence in a world addicted to noise - she’s the one everyone else orbits.
Calibrating to Power Without Overexertion
You’ve been sold the idea that power has to be loud. That success requires effort, noise, grind, and motion. But that’s not power - that’s panic with good branding.
Real power doesn’t chase. It doesn’t need to announce itself. It knows.
When you calibrate to that knowing, your energy shifts from getting to being. From “How do I attract?” to “How do I align?”
Stillness doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means acting from precision. When your energy is clean, your moves become on purpose. When your alignment is tight, you don’t need to do more - the world starts doing more for you.
Manifestation becomes simple: when your internal frequency matches your future identity, results don’t need to be chased - they collapse into now.
Clients, money, opportunities - they come because you’re congruent. You’ve stopped sending out mixed signals. You’re not hustling for attention; you’re holding your position.
The universe doesn’t reward effort - it mirrors energy. It does not decide who gets what and why. It simply reflects back to you what you’re putting out. So if your energy is frantic, you attract chaos. But when you’re still, clear, and certain, you become the gravitational field that everything wants to orbit.
Daily Somatic Stillness Practice
Let’s make this real. Here’s how you start training your body to trust stillness again.
Every morning - before the phone, before the to-do list - sit with yourself. One hand on your heart. One hand on your sacral center. Breathe in through your nose for four counts. Hold for four. Exhale for six.
And then ask, “What am I trying to prove today?”
Whatever comes up - release it on your exhale. Because that’s the energetic detox your body’s been craving.
Stillness is the exhale after years of tension. Let your body feel safe doing nothing. Let your nervous system learn that silence doesn’t mean danger - it means power, Recharging. Recentering. Recalibrating.
Five minutes a day. That’s it. You don’t need a morning routine that screams control. You need one that anchors command.
When your body feels safe, your energy becomes undeniable. Because safety is the soil of power.
Shifting How Power Feels in Your Body
You’ve been conditioned to think that power feels like adrenaline - that quick hit of urgency, that tightening in your chest, that racing pulse before you walk into the room. For years, you’ve mistaken that rush for authority.
But that was never power. That was survival energy wearing a power suit.
It kept you sharp, productive, relentless, but it also kept you trapped in a frequency of threat. That constant edge? It was your body saying, “If I let my guard down, everything will fall apart.”
So you built an empire fueled by cortisol. You became addicted to the chaos because it felt like control. You told yourself that exhaustion meant progress,
that pressure meant purpose, and that ease was for people who hadn’t earned it.
But you can’t manifest abundance from a nervous system that’s coded for emergency. You can’t attract expansion from contraction. Power doesn’t live in tension - it lives in truth.
The next evolution of your leadership begins when you decide that power no longer needs to feel like panic. When you choose to let it settle.
When you drop your shoulders, unclench your jaw, exhale that invisible armor you’ve been wearing, and let your power sink instead of spike.
Because real power doesn’t buzz, it hums. It’s not electric, it’s magnetic. It doesn’t rise in chaos; it sits in certainty.
When you anchor into that, you stop needing to chase anything. Clients, opportunities, money - they start orienting around you, not because you’re louder,
but because your frequency is clean, grounded, and unbothered.
This is what I call gravitational power. It’s the moment your body becomes the evidence of your worth. You no longer need to declare, defend, or demand it. You simply embody it.
Feel that subtle shift in your body right now - the drop from your head into your gut. That’s the moment your energy moves from force to field. From control to command. From noise to knowing.
And when you operate from that place, manifestation becomes inevitable. Because everything you want: money, love, peace, visibility - exists at the frequency of safety.
When your body feels safe enough to hold more, life rushes in to match that signal.
So from now on, when you think of power, don’t reach for the rush. Reach for the root. The still, grounded, undeniable place inside you that knows she’s already it.
That’s the kind of power that moves worlds - and it doesn’t shout. It sits in stillness. And everything listens.
